One Breath vs Dean’s Blue Hole

I meet a lot of pretty awesome people, one of the results is that I get exposed to some pretty awesome music I didn’t previously know about – that and random Youtube videos. Youtube is my small-talk answer to “how’s this weather we’ve been having?”

I like sharing, so have decided to bring you a video  - every Thursday – of something awesome I’ve come past from the days of internet past – or perhaps present if I ever get that hip – but I wouldn’t hold your breath.

This video is of base jumpers/divers/free-fallers, one camerawoman [the french champion Julie Gautier] and one “jumper/diver/superman”  [World champion Guillaume Nery] - on one single breath, with zero breathing apparatus.

The Dive is at Dean’s Hole – which at 202 meters is the deepest known blue whole in the world. I have had enough underwater shoots to tell you with confidence that holding your breath and exerting yourself physically is a tough combination.

If the video has started already, press stop, start it again – you’re going to want to watch this from the beginning to grasp the single breath thing.

This video was shared with me from Andy. He’s pretty rad, if you’re on twitter you should follow him and try him out on your feed. He makes me laugh.

      Hey Princess,
Artist is called “Archive” – the song is called “You make me feel” and believe it or not is from 1999! Despite being from the 90′s I find the song very sexy. It makes me want to go stroke flowers and hug sunshine.
