Mask Making in London – Halloween Prep

This Tuesday, if I was not driving out to Nottingham to watch Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler *insert smug grin* I would be attending the mask making workshop being hosted by Cabinet of Curious Creatures as part of the Hendricks lecture series.
The Cabinet of Curious Creatures are a magical indulgence of imagination and creativity and have travelled the UKs festival scene delighting the masses for quite some time.
“This specific workshop will focus on creating individual Halloween based creatures encouraging you to delve into the darkest corners of your soul. You will be making 3D bespoke structures that you will then decorate using a wide variety of sumptuous materials to help facilitate the birth of your forthcoming creature.”
- Sounds pretty good to me – and at only 12 pounds it is very affordable.

With the brief of “Apocalyptic Mall Rat” and inspirational images somewhere between manga and alt. glam punk Robert, Cally and I ended up with this on the cover of June/July PIX African Photo Journal.
Main Make-up Ingredients: MAC pigment “azreal blue” and”navy stain”, fluidline in “Royal Wink” Kohl pencil in “smolder”. Limited Edition false eyelashes. DUO adhesive.
